Other Seating
Lutyens designed dozens of chairs for New Delhi and elsewhere. We have only managed to touch the tip of the iceberg in what we have made. Through his chairs and the ideas and influences from which they derive, Lutyens spans several centuries of English chair making from the heavily Chippendale inspired Insignia Chair, the Queen Anne desk chair, through the Arts & Crafts Ladderback chair and on up to our own Swivel desk chair and Theo barstools. Also shown is Robert Lutyens’s chair design for Reuters.
We have also included three settles, the Rush settle was taken from Lutyens own Arts & Crafts piece which remains in the family, The Roman settle goes right to the other end of the style range and was designed for Delhi. The Homewood Settle was our own design, drawing on the Lutyens idiom along with the side table of the same name.
