Lutyens Billiard Table
The original Lutyens billiard table designed for Marshcourt was made of the same chalk as the house. Some say, though we have been unable to confirm first hand, that the foundations of the house were dug out around the chalk slab, from which the table was carved, leaving it as an attached part of the ground below.
Our version of the table is made from oak and may be made to any standard table dimensions for billiards, pool or snooker.
We work with a leading specialist maker of billiard tables and can also supply accessories – cues, balls, rests etc.
The scoreboard/cabinet illustrated is a Lutyens original that we have not made but we are able to make this and other styles of scoreboard/cue holders to go with the light and table.
The original table was paired with our billiard light. The original light was used by Lutyens on several different occasions and was made from timber with a single suspension point.
We have chosen to make the light in brass, which may be finished in either bronze or antique silver.
We make it in two sizes appropriate to a full sized billiards table or an American style pool table. It is available with one or two suspension points though we recommend two for stability and for load spreading.
We have also developed the light as a small ceiling lantern to the light the corners of the room.
