| Vicereine’s
patio set We are very excited to
launch this exquisite patio
set which was made from
Lutyens’s original
drawings for furniture
for the terraces at Viceroy’s
House New Delhi.
This is a very good example
of where we are able to
use our archive of Lutyens’s
drawings to create a piece
for a client looking for
something new and unique.
In this case the set was
made for a client in the
United States who was very
keen to explore new avenues
and, though not accustomed
to reading drawings, was
able to see the potential
of the set from the detail
that Lutyens had provided.
It is not known if the
set was originally ever
made; if it was it has,
like so much of the original
Delhi furniture, disappeared.
The patio set is made
from English Oak with an
oiled finish. The chairs
alone have more than 300
joints between them. They
are available with cushions
or with a caned seat.
Please do not hesitate
to contact
me if you would
like further information.
