Roman settle

This Roman inspired timber and cane settle was designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens for the Viceroy's house in New Delhi. It is pictured here in walnut with upholstered dining chair cushions. The centre cushion may be replaced with timber to provide a table area within the seat.
