This Roman inspired timber and cane settle was designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens for the Viceroy's house in New Delhi. It is pictured here in walnut with upholstered cushions and caned sides. The centre cushion may be replaced with timber to provide a table area within the seat. The sides can be timber or upholstered.

Where a longer peice is required, the design can be adapted with additional centre supports.
