Campion armchair and sofa This suite of sofa and matching chairs was designed for the Viceroy's bedroom in Government House, New Delhi in 1926. Although it is probable that they still exist, there is no photographic record of them. While they are less complex than many of Lutyens furniture designs, a tremendous amount of thought has gone into, not only the detail of the base and feet but also into the somewhat generous lines that give them their air of grandeur that befits their use. |
