Gilt and Lacquer Large Cabinet

Gilt and Lacquer Wall Display. Lutyens design originally for Lambay Castle 1908. The interior can be painted any colour, though Lutyens used this "Chinese Terracotta" red in the original version.

A particular feature are the hinges on the rear edge of the cabinet.

The original, which has been seen in auction twice in recent years, did not have or has lost its base. The base shown is our interpretation of what might have been.
