Gilt and Lacquer Small Cabinet

This spectacular Gilt and Lacquer Cabinet is a smaller version of the display cabinet made for Lambay Castle on 1908 and was a special commission for a private dining room in the US. The client specified the interior colour but chose to retain the original black lacquer and hand-gilding. It demonstrates how Lutyens' designs may be adapted to fit contemporary interiors. The cabinet was shipped to the US by LFL in a specially constructed packing case.
