Sir Edwin Lutyens
Lutyens Furniture & Lighting was formed in 1988 with the specific aim of promoting the work of Sir Edwin Lutyens, architect of New Delhi and prolific builder of houses, public buildings and war memorials. He was also a hugely creative and productive designer of furniture, something that was little known when we began.
Granddaughter of Sir Edwin Lutyens and founder of Lutyens Furniture & Lighting.
Our company is built on just one over-riding principal that the furniture we produce – whether it be to Edwin Lutyens’s original designs or our own adaptations – will always be of the best quality, not just in construction but in conception and attention to detail as well.
Whilst we specialize in fully bespoke and made to order pieces, we are increasingly adapting our range by standardizing some of Edwin’s own designs, developing a broader portfolio of new designs and moving into both accessories and new materials.
Our new website launched in March 2016 starts to give a flavour of this and will continue to change and reflect our new product ranges over the coming months.
These are exciting times of change and moving forward and we hope that our clients, both old and new, will share the experience with us.
The name Lutyens carries our trademark as pertaining to Furniture and Lighting and may not be used in this context by any third party.
